Overall, I don't have too many complaints. But if you're a fan of the fantasy "Real World" houses, I should warn that you'll be disappointed. The aesthetic highlight here is blue Astroturf.

As stupid as it looks, and as much as you can hate yourself for watching, it's a complex show about the nature of sin. There's a tendency to examine it too cerebrally in that regard, to think of Jersey Shore as pure performance art. Sometimes critics can be wrong in typing too many words.

Season 2 of MTV's instant trash classic moves the Situation, Snooki and Co. down to Miami Beach for a little change of scenery and no apparent change in attitude. Actually, the scenery hasn't really changed, either.

Season 2 is more of less than we've come to expect.

The show still has the moments of off-the-cuff comedy and guilelessness that made the first season fun to watch, if not exactly a parade of role models.

From pariahs to parodies. What a quick ride. The party is almost over for Jersey Shore.

Jersey Shore is appalling, which is mostly its appeal, but it can also be funny, irreverent and breezily dimwitted--which is the rest of the appeal.

Austin S gave it a0:
No excitement or intelligence.

KRB gave it a10:
Its trash... but nobody said it would anything else. I agree with Hank Stuever. It really is a study of certain aspects of human nature (he mentions "sin"). Its seeminlgy simple behaviour, but there are a lot of emotions and "buttons" behind this behaviour. This show really is my guilty pleasure.

Pablo G. gave it a10:
The result is a mixture of unified atmosphere and lived-in character study, and while Snooki's role is not as indelible as that of her co-stars, J-Woww and The Situation’s steely abortionist are just about perfect.

Laura L. gave it a3:
The characters are no as appealing now that they are all glammed up "hollywood" style. MTV tried to dumb down the condo on the strip and use that wack footage to make the film look really old but it was just too contrived this time around. And seeing Angelina is enough to make me stop watching the show. It was a let down. They need new characters and need to bring it back the the JShore!

Gus M. gave it a0:
Goes to show you what Americans think is entertainment. Sex and partying. GTL. C'mon mayne, get a life.

Joseph A gave it a0:
'70' Washington Post, Hank Stuever, "As stupid as it looks, and as much as you can hate yourself for watching, it's a complex show about the nature of sin." Fire this man.
